ninSmart combines built-in positioning, inertial movement sensing, vehicle-interface capability, device-health monitoring, rugged camera support, and a governed external sensor ecosystem. The platform is designed to support operator and regulator workflows by converting sensor signals into trusted, event-based telemetry records.
Sensor configurations are validated per deployment, use case, vehicle type, and operator or regulator requirements.
Every ninSmart NS-EDGE device includes core sensing and telemetry capabilities that do not require external add-on sensors.
Automotive-grade GNSS with dead-reckoning support and inertial movement sensing. Includes directional heading support for degraded-positioning scenarios and external antenna options.
Acceleration, turning, and vibration signals for motion detection, behavior analysis, and incident reconstruction.
Voltage events, resets, brownouts, and installation status monitoring depending on configuration.
Enclosure open and installation-status signals depending on configuration. Includes secure event timestamping and device identity.
Result: Even without add-on sensors, NS-EDGE can provide baseline tracking, motion events, device integrity monitoring, and trusted telemetry records.
NS-EDGE supports modular external sensors and selected control modules through governed expansion ports. The expansion layer is flexible, but not open by default. Connected modules must be approved, licensed, and validated before participating in trusted operation.
Governed Ecosystem: Supported signal categories include digital, serial, and analog sensor signals, vehicle or asset state inputs, and approved control outputs where permitted.
Monitors access, movement, and asset integrity for vehicles, cargo areas, boxes, trailers, or field equipment.
Examples:
Door or latch status, asset movement state, cargo security signals, vibration or tilt indicators
Use cases:
Unauthorized opening, cargo safety, delivery integrity, asset misuse detection, audit support
Supports payload, load, occupancy, or pressure-related monitoring depending on the deployment configuration.
Examples:
Load monitoring sensors, occupancy or seat-state sensors, pressure-based detection
Use cases:
Overload detection, payload monitoring, passenger or rider context, compliance support
Supports distance, obstacle, and proximity awareness around vehicles, motorcycles, depots, work sites, or industrial zones.
Examples:
Distance / object-detection sensors, proximity awareness sensors, maneuver-risk indicators
Use cases:
Obstacle proximity, depot safety, site safety, maneuver risk, restricted-area monitoring
Supports environmental condition monitoring for cargo, cabin, industrial, and cold-chain use cases.
Examples:
Temperature monitoring, humidity monitoring, air-quality monitoring, gas or environmental safety indicators where applicable
Use cases:
Cold-chain compliance, cabin safety, cargo protection, environmental reporting
Supports movement-state and parking-state awareness for two-wheel fleets, vehicles, field assets, and site operations.
Examples:
Stand or parking-state sensors, contact-status sensors, movement-state indicators
Use cases:
Parking compliance, misuse detection, operational safety, unauthorized movement alerts
Supports driver, rider, or operator identity workflows depending on project requirements.
Examples:
Driver or rider credential reader, authorized-use validation, access-control input
Use cases:
Driver/rider identity verification, access control, operator compliance, audit trail support
Custom sensors can be evaluated and mapped into the ninSmart data model when they meet interface, safety, validation, licensing, and governance requirements.
Use cases:
Mission-specific sensing, industry-specific monitoring, approved compliance workflows, specialized operator/regulator requirements
ninSmart can support vehicle-interface communication where available through a dedicated vehicle interface controller. Depending on the vehicle type, manufacturer, and available access, the device may support vehicle telemetry, diagnostic data, ignition context, vehicle-speed context, fault-code reporting, and vehicle-binding workflows.
Note: For motorcycles and scooters, vehicle data access may vary by brand and model. When vehicle-interface data is limited, ninSmart can still provide trusted event records using built-in positioning, inertial sensing, camera evidence, and approved add-on sensors.
ninSmart supports rugged external camera workflows for road-facing and driver/rider-facing evidence capture. Camera inputs can support incident context, compliance checks, visual evidence, PPE verification, driver/rider-facing intelligence, and AI-assisted event validation depending on the selected configuration. For heavier video and AI workloads, NS-JET adds high-performance AI compute capability on top of NS-EDGE.
Incident context, risky behavior, disputes
By zone, by threshold, by trigger
Location confidence, time, device ID, policy version
Selected control outputs may be supported only where legally permitted, technically validated, and approved by the operator, regulator, or project authority.
Policy-linked alert and notification workflows
Visual alert and warning indicators where permitted
Deployment-specific and legally approved workflows
Important: ninSmart prioritizes evidence, alerts, and governance before any active control workflow. Control actions are deployment-specific and subject to legal, safety, and regulatory approval.
4 steps to evidence-grade compliance
Built-in sensors, approved add-on sensors, vehicle context, and camera evidence capture relevant signals
