Every ninSmart NS-EDGE device includes core sensing and telemetry capabilities that do not require external add-on sensors.

Automotive-grade Positioning

Automotive-grade GNSS with dead-reckoning support and inertial movement sensing. Includes directional heading support for degraded-positioning scenarios and external antenna options.

Inertial Movement Sensing

Acceleration, turning, and vibration signals for motion detection, behavior analysis, and incident reconstruction.

Power & Device Health Monitoring

Voltage events, resets, brownouts, and installation status monitoring depending on configuration.

Tamper & Installation Signals

Enclosure open and installation-status signals depending on configuration. Includes secure event timestamping and device identity.

Result: Even without add-on sensors, NS-EDGE can provide baseline tracking, motion events, device integrity monitoring, and trusted telemetry records.

Modular Sensor Expansion

NS-EDGE supports modular external sensors and selected control modules through governed expansion ports. The expansion layer is flexible, but not open by default. Connected modules must be approved, licensed, and validated before participating in trusted operation.

Governed Ecosystem: Supported signal categories include digital, serial, and analog sensor signals, vehicle or asset state inputs, and approved control outputs where permitted.

Vehicle Interface Support

ninSmart can support vehicle-interface communication where available through a dedicated vehicle interface controller. Depending on the vehicle type, manufacturer, and available access, the device may support vehicle telemetry, diagnostic data, ignition context, vehicle-speed context, fault-code reporting, and vehicle-binding workflows.

Note: For motorcycles and scooters, vehicle data access may vary by brand and model. When vehicle-interface data is limited, ninSmart can still provide trusted event records using built-in positioning, inertial sensing, camera evidence, and approved add-on sensors.

Rugged Camera Support

ninSmart supports rugged external camera workflows for road-facing and driver/rider-facing evidence capture. Camera inputs can support incident context, compliance checks, visual evidence, PPE verification, driver/rider-facing intelligence, and AI-assisted event validation depending on the selected configuration. For heavier video and AI workloads, NS-JET adds high-performance AI compute capability on top of NS-EDGE.
